Witch's Minion is an illustrated TG transformation game being developed in Inform 7. The first interactive fiction from Scipio Games, Witch's Minion takes the player into the heart of West Lowery; a city of greed, lust, danger and intrigue, where the schemes and ambitions of powerful magical interests bubble just beneath the surface. Players will be confronted with tough decisions and fiendish puzzles; do you have wits sharp enough--or morals flexible enough--to survive the streets of West Lowery and return to your natural form?
High-Resolution room illustrations bring the city of West Lowery to life! |
Don't be fooled by the development engine; Witch's Minion is more, visually speaking, than the traditional lines of white text scrolling up a wall of so-called "Inform Blue." High-Resolution environment illustrations bring the city of West Lowery to life, providing stunning visuals for all of Witch's Minion's memorable, atmospheric locations. Thematic continuity is a major concern for Scipio Games, so all room illustrations are carefully chosen to be as unobtrusive as possible while maintaining a sense of immersion as the player explores the various environments. Don't worry about getting lost, either; while the detailed, explorable world is quite large--over 50 rooms!--dynamic, carefully labeled maps ensure you can always find your way! So get out there and explore; you never know what's waiting for you!

Wearable outfits provide unique bonuses and dialog choices! |
Conversation is an important part of Witch's Minion, and the complex, branching dialog system the key to allowing the player an active role in these discussions. As opposed to the traditional ASK ABOUT/TELL ABOUT system common in Interactive Fiction, the conversation-tree system provides a more engaging dialog with NPCs, allowing them to speak like real characters who can demand responses as easily as provide them.
